MediaPlus is an in-house-designed platform for media streaming and management developed by Amazon Web Services (AWS) in partnership with ASU. This technology focuses on speed, security, and global delivery of media content for all ASU instructors and students.

Using MediaPlus

Media Plus is accessible in Canvas through the Course Navigation Menu and the Rich Content Editor. Instructors and Course Builders can use MediaPlus from the Course Navigation Menu to upload and organize media into Collections, create Playlists, generate captions and transcripts, and obtain links or embed codes to share media without leaving the course.

Enable MediaPlus in Canvas

To enable MediaPlus in the Course Navigation Menu, users need to access the course settings and enable the MediaPlus link. Alternatively, users can access MediaPlus through the Rich Content Editor by clicking on the plug icon and selecting MediaPlus. From there, they can choose media files to embed into Canvas pages, quizzes, assignments, or discussion boards and save or publish them accordingly.
